Dr Low Lee Yong, the founder and CEO of MHC Asia Group, is a medical doctor who graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1987. He established over 15 clinics together with other businesses within a few years and founded MHC in 1993.
Equipped with passion and self taught IT knowledge, he led a team to build a network of more than 1000 clinics in Singapore and 550 clinics in Malaysia. These clinics are linked via an internet based system to provide cashless outpatient and inpatient transactions for corporate clients and insurers.
MHC is currently processing over One Million Outpatient Medical Claims in Singapore alone every year. MHC has since expanded its operations into Hong Kong and the Philippines. His passion and belief in applying technology has also driven him to develop other healthcare solutions.
He believes that the secret to efficiency in healthcare and cost savings lies in the effective application of simplified technological solutions.
Dr Low was recently conferred the prestigious “The Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2010 ~ A Rotary-ASME Award” that honours local entrepreneurs who have established and sustained a successful and profitable business.
Dr Low was also “The Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2010” winner for the Info-Communication and Technology sub-category sponsored by Starhub which recognizes an individual who has effectively implemented an integrated info-communication technology in a business, leading to a significant increase in productivity and cost efficiency.
Today, he is a sought after speaker for motivational health talks because of his wealth of vital business experience coupled with an affable personality, sense of humour and unpretentious style of delivery.
